Diese Online-Publikation ist in weiten Teilen das Werk von Katja Lewerentz, die für uns alle unfassbar am 29. Januar 2009 gestorben ist.
Mit großer Kompetenz und Präzision, unermüdlichem Elan und allerhöchstem persönlichen Einsatz und nicht zuletzt mit großer menschlicher Wärme und Herzlichkeit hat sie sich in den vergangenen Jahren für die Erforschung des Impressionismus eingesetzt.
Diese Publikation sei ihr in großer Dankbarkeit und in liebevoller Erinnerung gewidmet.

This online publication is in large measure the work of Katja Lewerentz. It was nearing completion when we received the shocking news of her death on 29 January 2009.
Over the last few years she had approached the task of researching the works of the Impressionist painters with meticulous professionalism, tireless energy, the highest level of personal commitment and, not least, great human warmth.
In grateful and loving memory, we at the Wallraf-Richartz-Museums & Fondation Corboud and at the Cologne Institute for Conservation Science at the University of Applied Sciences, Cologne, should like to dedicate this publication to our late friend and colleague.
